As Muslims who love the Prophet Muhammad, of course we want to know the friends who are also loved by Him. Therefore it is very important for us to learn about the prophet’s companions.
By studying it, we will know the companions of the Prophet Muhammad, can take lessons from the struggle they have dedicated to Islam and exemplify their noble qualities.
10 The companions who are mentioned by the Prophet and given good news as the inhabitants of Paradise, we admit as the inhabitants of Paradise based on the testimony of the Messenger of Allah and his words are true.

عَنْ عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ بْن عَوْفٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعُمَرُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعُثْمَانُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعَلِيٌّ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَطَلْحَةُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَالزُّبَيْرُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَسَعْدٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَسَعِيدٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَأَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ بْنُ الْجَرَّاحِ فِي الْجَنَّةِ . رواه الترمذي
From Abdurrahman ibn Auf, he said, The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, “Abu Bakr in heaven, ‘Umar in heaven, Usman in heaven, Ali in heaven, Thalhah in heaven, Zubair in heaven, Abdurrahman bin Auf in heaven, Sa’ad in heaven, Sa’id in heaven, Abu Ubaidah bin Jarrah in heaven.” (HR. At-Tirmidhi).

1. Abu Bakr ash-Shiddiq, Companions of Prophet
Abu Bakr ash-Shiddiw was one of the companions of the Prophet Muhammad who had a big and important role in Islamic da’wah.
He has sacrificed a lot of his soul, body, and possessions for Islam.
She was the first to convert to Islam, the second person to convert to Islam after Khadija, the wife of the Prophet Muhammad.
Abu Bakr had noble qualities, among them being meek, faithful, generous, and helpful. These are the attributes that made him much loved by the Messenger of Allah.
After the Prophet’s death, Abu Bakr was chosen to be the first caliph in Islam.
2. Umar Ibn Khattab, Companions of Prophet
Umar ibn Khattab was known to have great firmness and courage. Before converting to Islam, he was a fierce opponent of Islam.
But after converting to Islam, he became a defender of Islam at the forefront.
Umar ibn Khattab was one of the closest friends and loved by the Prophet Muhammad. In fact, he obtained the title of Al Faruq (defender between right and wrong) from the Messenger of Allah.
Umar Ibn Khattab became the second caliph to succeed Abu Bakr ash-Shiddiq.
3. Usman bin Affan, Companions of Prophet
Usman ibn Affan was six years younger than the Prophet. The Umayyads were the people of the Quraysh, who were revered for their wealth. The wealth they gained from the trade business.
It was through Abu Bakr that Usman converted to Islam. Usman accepted the Prophet’s invitation to convert to Islam without hesitation. Not long ago, Usman married Ruqayah, daughter of Rasululah Saw.
His faith never wavered even when he was tortured by one of his uncles from the Umayyads to leave Islam and return to the lap of the ancestral religion.
The famous description of Usman is his generosity, so one would say extravagant. Clearly, he is always ready to donate his abundant wealth.
Since converting to Islam, Usman has been inseparable from the struggle to establish Islam.
4. Ali ibn Abi Talib, Companions of Prophet
Ali ibn Abi Talib and the Messenger of Allaah were cousins. Since childhood Ali lived in a house with Muhammad Saw because the prophet was fostered by his uncle, Abu Thalib.
It was in the care of his cousin that Ali came to the light of islam. Without a doubt he decided to declare faith in God and His Messenger.
This decision was made when Ali was a child, when he was only 10 years old. In all, he was the third person to convert to Islam and the first of a group of children.
Under the care of the Prophet( s), Ali grew up. All good behavior is taught by the Prophet to his cousin.
Ali grew up to be a smart, brave, assertive, gentle and very generous young man. His intelligence stands out.
He is the best friend of the Prophet who understands the Qur’an and Sunnah, because it is one of the closest companions of the Prophet. He received directly the teaching of the Quran and Sunnah from the Prophet (s).
After emigrating to Medina, Ali worked as a farmer, such as Abu Bakr and Umar. Two years after hijrah, Ali married Fatimah az Zahra, the favorite daughter of the Prophet (s).
From Medina, along with the Prophet and other Muslims, Ali fought together. Ali was almost never absent in following the wars with the Prophet, such as the wars of Badr, Uhud, Khandak, Khaibar and the liberation of mecca.
5. Thalhah ibn Ubaidillah
10 Companions of the Prophet who are guaranteed to enter paradise, namely Thalhah bin Ubaidillah. Thalhah ibn Ubaidillah was one of the heroes in the ranks of uhud’s war soldiers.
He is ready to sacrifice in defense of the Prophet sallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam. He willingly used himself as a shield for the Prophet Muhammad.
6. Zubair ibn Awwam
Zubair ibn Awwam was among the first generation to convert to Islam. At that time, he was only 15 years old. Since childhood, he has been a valiant horseman.
In the book Thriller 60 Companions of the Apostle by Um Akbar mentioned, his love and devotion to the Messenger of God is great. He always tries to protect the Messenger of Allah from the threat of danger.
The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was very proud of Zubair In fact, the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Every prophet has a helper (hawari), and my hawari is Zubair ibn Awwam.” (HR Muslim).
7. Sa’ad ibn Abi Waqqas
Sa’ad ibn Abi Waqqas was the uncle of the Messenger of Allah on his mother’s side. He was among the third men to convert to Islam.
From the book entitled Encyclopedia Series of Muslim Children: 125 Companions of the Prophet Muhammad SAW by Mahmudah Mastur, during the Uhud War, Muslim forces were divided. But he remained by the prophet Muhammad’ side.
Sa’ad ibn Abi Waqqas was also very good at archery. He is blessed by God abundant wealth because he keeps life simple and always give alms.
On the eve of his death, he only asked for a shabby cloth as his shroud.
8. Sa’id ibn Zaid
Sa’id ibn Zaid was the brother-in-law of Caliph Umar ibn Khattab. Even so, he did not have the ambition or the opportunity to get a high position.
He had the opportunity to participate in all wars accompanied by the Messenger of Allah except the Battle of Badr. Sa’id also participated in the conquest of Syria.
9. Abdurrahman ibn Auf
In the book Islamic Religious Education: Akhlak Akhlak For Madrasah Aliyah Class XI by Toto Adidarmo, MA, Drs. Mulyadi, Abdurrahman bin Auf is one of the group of eight people who first converted to Islam. He is also a friend who was given good news by the Messenger of Allah because he will enter Paradise.
He was among six companions who consulted in the election of the caliph after Umar ibn Khaththab.
Abdurrahman ibn Auf was also a mufti who believed the Prophet had a life in Medina while the Apostle was still alive.
10. Abu Ubaidillah ibn Jarrah, Companions of Prophet
Abu Ubaidah ibn Jarrah was one of the faithful bodyguards of the Prophet (s).
It also belongs to assabiqunal Awwalun (the first group to convert to Islam). He recited the creed the day after Abu Bakr al-Shiddiq converted to Islam.
Abu Ubaidah ibn Jarrah also fought with the Prophet (s).
Abu ‘Ubaidah ibn Jarrah had a trustworthy and responsible nature. Therefore he was called the trustee of the people and the mandate of the Prophet Muhammad Saw.
