Allah swt has the nature of Al-Mahabbah (love), namely Allah loves His servants who believe and fear. However, His love is not like the love of creatures and the love of God has been proven in the book and hadith.
Every Muslim certainly expects pleasure and compassion from Allah. Because, in fact, there is no happiness that every servant seeks but to be loved by His Creator. As quoted from the alukah page, the signs of God’s love for a servant are at least five as follows.
First, that is accepted on earth
When loved by Allah SWT, then a servant will get acceptance on the face of the earth. From Abu Hurairah RA, the Prophet (pbuh) said:
“If Allah loves a servant, He commands Gabriel. God loves Fulan, so love him, so Gabriel loves him. Then he called out to the people of the heavens, “God loves him, so love him, and the people of the heavens love him, and then he becomes accepted in the land.” (Narrated by Al-Bukhari).
Second, given the understanding and practice of religion
If God loves a servant, Then God will give him religion. So that he will easily do good deeds and far from sin. The Prophet (pbuh) said:
“Surely Allah gives the world to the loved one and to the unloved, but it does not give religion except to his loved ones. So whoever Allah has given religion, He loves him.” (Hr Ahmad).
Allah will fill the tongue of his loved one with dhikr and fill his limbs with obedience, comfort him, and avoid neglect. Thus, the servant he loves will always be connected with God.
Third, fulfilled all his requests its Signs of Allah Loves
If God loves His servant, Then God will fulfill all his requests and will protect him. From Abu Hurayrah, the Prophet (pbuh) said:
“Verily Allah says: Whoever is hostile to My guardian, verily I declare war on him. My servant is not nearer to Me with anything I love more than what I have enlisted him. My servant never ceases to approach Me with Sunnah Worships until I love him.
If I had loved him, I would have been his hearing that he used to hear, be his vision that he used to see, be his hand that he used to do, and be his foot that he used to walk. If he had asked Me, I would have given him. And if he had sought refuge in Me, I would have protected him.” (Narrated by Al-Bukhari).
Fourth, Allah give trials to purify him from sin and bad deeds.
If God loves his servant, Then God will give him trials or trials. From Anas ibn Malik, the Messenger of Allaah said:
“Indeed the magnitude of the reward is accompanied by the magnitude of the reinforcements, and when Allah SWT loves a people He gives them trials. So whoever is pleased, then for him is pleased and whoever is angry then for him anger.” (HR Bukhari)
Fifth, open the door of righteous deeds before death
It means: “If Allah desires good for a servant, He will make him do a good deed, and it will be said, what is the purpose of doing it? He said, “Allah opened for him righteous deeds before his death, so that those around him are pleased with him.” (Hr Ahmad and Al Hakim).
