The Quran is a guide to life for Muslims around the world. Reading the Quran regularly will provide tremendous benefits. In addition, the reward will be doubled.
Reading the Quran is one of the most important worships that have various virtues. So it is no wonder that Muslims race to read the Quran for salvation in this world and in the hereafter.
As narrated by an-Nu’man ibn Basyir which means: “The Messenger of Allah said, “The best worship of my people is to read the Qur’an.” (HR. Al-Bayhaqi
So many benefits obtained by a servant who always read the Qur’an.
Allah swt also said: “indeed, this Qur’ān guides to that which is most suitable and gives good tidings to the believers who do righteous deeds that they will have a great reward.” Qs. al-Israa: 9
Benefits of Reciting the Quran
Earn Multiplied Rewards
A person who regularly recite the Quran will get a double reward.
From Aisha ra, the Prophet PBUH said: “He who is good at reciting the Quran with honorable angels and who recite the Quran while he is bricked and has difficulty, then for him are two rewards.” (HR. Bukhari and Muslim)
Furthermore, the Prophet PBUH said as follows: “Whoever recite a letter from the Quran will receive a good deed and one good shall be doubled to ten good deeds. I didn’t say alif lam mim as one letter. But alif one letter, lam one letter and mim one letter.” (HR. Bukhari).
Liver and Physical Disease Drugs
Reading the Quran can be a cure for liver and physical diseases. A common way to treat yourself with the recitation of the Qur’an is to do ruqyah.
Allah swt said: “And We have sent down in the Qur’an a cure and mercy for the believers” (QS al-Israa’: 82)
In addition, Allah SWT said: “The believers and their hearts become at rest with (reading) the guidance of Allah (The Qur’an). Remember, only by reciting the guidance of Allah (the Qur’an) the heart becomes at rest.” Qs ar-Ra’du: 28
avoiding misleading things
Those who get used to the routine of reciting the Quran will not get lost and wretched. As Allah SWT said:
“But if guidance comes to you from Me, then whoever follows My guidance, he will not go astray, nor will he be harmed.” Thaahaa: 123).
Furthermore, Ibn Abbas ra said: “Allah SWT gives assurance to those who recite the Quran and practice its contents that he will not be lost in this world, nor will he be harmed in the hereafter.”
The House Becomes Radiant
Regular reading of the Quran at home can make the house more luminous. Not only that, the house that is always recited by the Quran will feel calmer and peaceful. The Prophet (pbuh) said:
“The parable of the house which is called the name of God in it and the house which is not mentioned the name of God in it is like the formulation of the living and the dead” .
Even Imam an Nawawi said: “In this hadith there is a suggestion to (many) remember Allah SWT (including reciting the Quran and other dhikr) at home and should not be emptied of the house of remembrance (to Him).”
In the narration of al-Tirmidhi there is also a hadith that reads: “Satan will not enter the house that is read in it sura al-Baqarah.”
Protected From Satan’s Temptations
Allah swt said: “Satan is a clear enemy to you, so make him an enemy (you), because the devils only invite his party so that they become the inhabitants of the Blazing Fire” (QS Faathir: 6).
In a saheeh hadeeth the Prophet (pbuh) said: “Do not make your house (like) a grave (by never doing prayers and reciting the Qur’an in it), indeed satan will run away from the house that is read in it surah Al-Baqarah.”
Adding Children’s Intelligence
Reading the Quran will help improve the child’s intelligence. Moreover, the best time to introduce the Quran is in childhood. Because reading the Quran regularly can help the development of the child’s brain to be better.
In addition to being able to see directly the development of children in learning, the involvement of parents directly in reading the Quran will also have a good impact on communication with the child.
Another benefit of reading the Qur’an is to obtain glory in this world and in the Hereafter. In fact, this has been stated in a hadith that reads:
“Whoever reads the Qur’an and does good deeds with its contents, is awarded his parents the crown on the Day of Resurrection. The light (crown) is better than the sunlight in the houses of the world. Then the sun will be in your house, so what do you think of the one who does this?” (HR. Abu David)
