Quranic Park, Dubai’s new Islamic tourist destination

In 2019, Dubai officially launched a new Islamic traveler destination, Quranic Park. Located in Al Khawaneej, this park was built with the concept of visualizing a number of stories contained in the Qur’an, the Holy Book of Muslims.

The park is built on an area of 60 hectares with the aim of demonstrating Islamic values of peace, love and tolerance. Interestingly, the manager of Quranic Park does not charge any fees for visitors, its means free without any ticket.

Dubai Tourism also mentioned Quranic Park in Time Magazine’s World’s Greatest Places list with three categories, ‘to visit’, ‘to stay’, and ‘to eat and drink’. In the ‘to visit’ category, Quranic Park is joined by several other tourist destinations, such as Mori Building Digital Art Museum Japan, Galaxy’s Edge Disneyland California and 97 other destinations.

Quranic Park is divided into two parts: The Glass House and The Cave of Miracle. Each part has its own uniqueness.

In the Glass House section, there are at least 29 kinds of plants mentioned in the Qur’an. Some of them such as olive trees, fig trees, henna plants, aloe vera and many more.

While in The Cave of Miracle, visitors are treated to a visualization of what is written in the Qur’an.

Byzantine Victory Proofs the Truth of the Quran

Dubai Tourism hopes that the development of Quranic Park facilities can strengthen Dubai’s position in the global halal tourism market. Dubai also aims to provide tourist destinations to enrich visitors’ understanding of Islamic religion and history.
